Forage Options Following Winter Wheat

Many farmers’ in Ontario and Quebec are experiencing forage shortages due to a slow cold start to spring and an exceptionally hot and dry growing season now. The challenging growing season and severe winterkill in 2019 caused many producers to resort to emergency forages early last year, and now the 2020 growing season has brought lower than average forage yields leaving many producers looking for ways to increase their forage inventories to get through the upcoming fall and winter.
