LINDSAY, ON (October 25, 2024) – DLF officially retired the Mapleseed® and Turfline® product brands and unveiled four new brands for the Canadian market: Forage First® by DLF (forage seed), Earth Carpet® by DLF (turf seed), Soil First® by DLF (cover crop seed) and Deer Creek Seed™ by DLF (wildlife seed).
This transition marks a significant step in the company’s strategy to unify its brand presence across North America and strengthen brand equity and recognition.
“The Mapleseed brand has a long history, and we intend to honor its legacy by continuing to provide maximum seed quality for Canadian climates and soil conditions,” said Patrick Reed, vice president of distribution sales for DLF North America. “This strategic realignment will allow us to provide more focused resources and marketing support for our customers.”
The new brands will be exclusively available across Canada to former Mapleseed customers, as well as professional turf and western Canadian clients. In addition, all current customers will be able to continue working with the same dedicated sales and service teams they have come to trust. The Mapleseed team will operate as DLF Canada’s eastern distribution group. In eastern Canada, the company also markets DLF and Forage Max® forage and corn seed through DLF farm retail agents and distributors.
